Electrical Estimating | Live, ONLINE
This 2-day intensive course guides the future estimator through the requirements of estimating. There are many elements that change from project to project and the tempo for completing quotes is always high and intense, yet rewarding. If you enjoy understanding, anticipating and pricing out the complex environment of electrical work and are up for a challenge, this course is an excellent, in-depth first step to guide you.
Description
Purpose: To understand and identify the clients’ needs and requirements; produce an estimate that is viable to the client and the company offering to perform the work; and, create a presentable quote letter that clearly states your offer.
Course Objective:
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the requirements needed to estimate an electrical project. A step-by-step process is presented so that the student will know what information to look for and where to find it at all stages of the estimating process. The program includes understanding the necessary documentation, establishing priorities, creating an installation/take-off strategy for the materials, quote review and submission.
By understanding the bidding requirements, the student will be able to compile the necessary information in a way that eliminates costly errors, costs your company a potential contract, or leaves portions of the work unaccounted for. The student estimator will be able to begin creating estimates that are knowledgeable and properly competitive.
This program removes the guesswork from estimating. Guesswork, at best, blunts your company’s competitive edge or, at worst, loses money.
