This course will teach you about ground disturbance, what it means, and how to identify the hazards. You will learn how to protect yourself, protect the workers around you and prevent damage to underground structures.

This course is designed for supervisors and anyone who is involved in/or needs a strong understanding of ground disturbance procedures.

Course Format

  • Self-paced e-learning course with animated and computerised voice-over slides, WorksafeBC and YouTube videos, and interactive quizzes
  • About 2.5 hours of self-paced instruction
  • Final Test: Your course completion certificate will not be released until you successfully complete the final test with an 80% passing grade. If you do not pass the final test with the required grade, you can continue to retest until you successfully pass.

  • Internet connection is required.
  • Headphones or otherwise quiet space recommended as course requires listening to a significant amount of audio
