Using the CCA 53: A Trade Contractor’s Guide and Checklist to Construction Contracts, this hands-on course will take you through real subcontracts and help you identify common clauses that can negatively impact a subcontractor’s rights and obligations. Walk away with a resource manual packed with templates and checklists to help you set up processes and procedures in the office or jobsite!
Description
Subcontracts are becoming more and more confusing and onerous. As a Trade Contractor, it is in your best interest to have a clear understanding of your contract before a problem threatens your business rather than after, when it is too late.
This is an interactive, hands-on course with actual subcontracts as examples. Throughout the course, a ‘Subcontract Handbook’ will be developed by the class so that the you can better understand contract requirements as a subcontractor. You’ll work with example subcontracts using a green, amber and red-light system, and learn which subcontract clauses to be on the look-out for when reviewing your own contracts.
This course also uses CCA 53: A Trade Contractor’s Guide and Checklist to Construction Contracts, to help you identify common clauses that can negatively impact your rights and obligations.
You’ll walk away with a resource manual packed with practical checklists, templates and how-tos that will help you set up the processes and procedures you need in the office or jobsite.
